- Your media files. Videos, audio, and images you edit in Klypus stay on your machine. We never upload, access, or store your media.
- Your project data. Timelines, edits, and project files remain local to your device.

We do not sell your data. Period.
We use the information we collect to:
- Provide and maintain the Klypus application
- Send you product updates and release notes (you can opt out anytime)
- Improve our features based on anonymous usage patterns
- Provide customer support when you reach out
3. AI Features & Data Processing
Klypus offers AI-powered editing features across different plans:
- Free Plan: On-device AI features (transcription, background removal) run entirely on your machine. No data is sent to external servers.
- Pro/Max Plans: Cloud-powered AI features route requests through our secure proxy. Only the minimum necessary data (e.g., audio for transcription) is sent and processed. Media files are never stored on our servers.
4. Third-Party Services
We use the following third-party services:
- Google — Authentication (Google Sign-In) and anonymous analytics (Google Analytics)
- Lemon Squeezy — Payment and subscription processing (we never see or store your full card details)
- Anthropic (Claude) — AI language model for agentic editing features (Pro/Max plans)
- OpenAI (GPT) — AI language model for editing and content generation (Pro/Max plans)
- Google (Gemini) — AI language model for editing and analysis (Pro/Max plans)
All AI providers receive only the minimum data necessary to process your request. Media files are never sent to these providers — only text prompts and metadata.

We implement industry-standard security measures including:
- Encrypted data transmission (TLS/SSL)
- Secure API key storage using OS-level encryption (Electron safeStorage)
- No plaintext storage of sensitive credentials
